How many people have signed up already?
As the site is not open to registration there are no 'users' as such. The recent Gizmodo article was the first real public mention of the site. (As at 17 March 2013) There are around 500 people in a FB group, and similar numbers on the mailing list.
Why doesn't this website give a list of new functionality?
We will release details of functionality (current/in development/planned) as soon as we start offering beta access to the site.
If you are a member of press, we can give you some information under strict embargo, to whet your appetite.
When can I get in?
The service will be invite only, so make sure you register your email to stay in the loop.
If there are no adverts, how will you make money?
Our business model is based on providing great standard functionality and added value services, that we hope you will want to access.
Will there REALLY be no adverts?
No adverts at all. We want to provide you services you want, not sell you products that you don't.
Great response from Gizmodo Article
Last week Gizmodo published an article http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2013/03/why-im-building-a-new-social-platform/ that was written by myself. Although dubious about releasing any information about what we are doing so early on, Im happy to report we have had a great response. Plenty of signups on the email list, and thousands more visits to the site. Thanks Giz (and Kat)!
